The answer to that question rarely results a “No”, but there are certainly times when skipping your workout is appropriate and illness is typically one of them. For you, the frequency of illness may be more or it may be less…hopefully less! Regardless, there is always a common question that arises when illness does strike “ Should I Workout If I’m Sick?“. However, it seems that at some point during the winter months, I always come down with a cold that I have to battle through. I like to think my attention to fitness and nutrition contribute to that in a significant way. ![]() Thankfully, I don’t get “sick” that often. Eventually, after a few days of early bedtimes, several doses of NyQuil, and lots of cough drops, I was feeling more like myself. I ended up taking a couple of rest days to recover a bit and I also worked from home to minimize the spread of my germs to co-workers. Just when I thought I was “through the woods”, it came roaring back and it seemed like it was even worse this time around. I continued hitting my workouts and my normal work schedule. It definitely was not the flu, just your run of the mill common cold so I kind of just powered through it. Initially, I didn’t think it was a severe cold. Back in late December/early January, towards the end of several days of vacation, I came down with a bit of a cold.
